Sneak Peek of New Banner Shoot

Hey Lover,

Hope you are having an awesome Friday.
It's been a good day for me and I thought I'd share one of the pics that I have from the shoot I did for a new blog banner.  I am still waiting for the pictures from the photographer but here is a preview of what's to come!
Sending all my fellow Halifax lovers a lot of positive vibes.
We got another big snowfall today and everyone who is commuting from work seems to be stuck in some really messed up traffic.

Anyways, here is the sneak peek.

Love,
Mo

PurPLE ORanges

1. Yes, I'm back from my "me day" and I had a great time. Love was in the air for sure. Loved people watching, capturing the stolen moments and plenty guys walking around with flowers...aahhh love... such a beautiful thing it is.  Hope you guys had an awesome day!

2. Gosh, is it summer yet?? I think I'm done with the winter.. I'm DYING for some summer photo shoots. However, it is good that I'm not doing too many shoots this winter because I've managed to do other things. Over the next few weeks I will be working on my spring/summer collection for my clutches.  I'm kinda excited about them and I hope the motivation behind this collection will help me create some good stuff.

3. Check out a shoot I did last fall with my girl Mana. If you are interested in the clutch, you can check it out here

The PurPle JUMPsuit

By now I'm sure you can tell that I have a thing for jumpsuits.  I think I might have had temporary insanity when I first saw this jumpsuit over a year ago.  Isn't is fantastic!!??!! ..LOL.. it's like something that just fell out of the disco era!

The Birdy CLUtch

I did a shoot a few months back in the fall.  It was such a chilly day and the sun couldn't make up its mind on whether it wanted to show up or not.  My girl Mana and I got together to do a shoot and I invited a good friend of mine, Monty, who is dabbling in photography as well, for a creative day.
We had a ball, the day was filled with huge goosebumps, wind enslaved hair, gorgeous skies and plenty laughs. While editing the pics I decided to go with an oldish but still colorful effect by giving the background a boost of yellow.. Perhaps I'm just yearning for summer to get here already. Gosh, the last two days have been brutally cold.  Hope you enjoy these pics as much as I do :)

That forGOTten Afro Print Skirt

So I had this skirt that I made for myself but never ended up wearing for some reason. In one of my very random moods I felt like doing something very safari inspired a few months ago... not the usual khaki's and explorer hat ..lol.. but with earthy tones, heels and a vintage camera bag. So with a little bit of tweaking here and there so that the skirt fit my dear friend Cyn, who volunteered to be my model, we were set to go. Now, I don't know who would go to a safari dressed like this, but if I did see someone in this, I'd hi5 her :) ..I'm just saying... If the need arises and I need to run for dear life, I need my sneakers and some shorts..lol

Photography: Ele.Vator Vani.ty & Distre.ss

So one of the little things that I have picked up is photography.  I mostly have done stuff for my Clutch Culture website because for some reason I haven't gotten past the nerves and pressure of doing pics for other people.  In the new year though, I do hope to take up more projects for other people and build on my craft.

I did, however, do a shoot a few weeks ago with a gorgeous Ugandan girl, Erina, who is a model for STRUT Model Agency.  She is just starting off and I've been blessed to see her journey so far.  From the first time I met her to now, there is so much progress and a growing desire to learn.  Her Agency and I decided it would be fun to do a relaxed shoot, to create rapport and share some of the things I have learned from being around fashionable people.  I'm far from being a professional but I love the industry and anything that I can do to help someone I will do.

I did 2 shoots with her.  The first named Distress which was just to get some emotion out of her and the second named Elevator Vanity which was just to get her to move and attempt different poses.  I also did the makeup and the styling and had fun doing it all.

enjoy!
